Hello everyone, this is the first blog. It's early Sunday Morning, one day after Australia Day. And it's time that I told you about me, what I want to do, and what I'm doing.
First off I am 21, I work at an awesome job at the local Video Ezy store. I have access to thousands of movies, all at my disposal, for nothing. This job however is only a casual position. My other source of income, or lack there-of is my own personal business Wittingslow Productions. I am a film maker, and I am building my portfolio up to get and make it into the Film industry. That is my career path. I have not been to university to study film, I am passionate enough to learn it myself and create my own style. I want nothing more than directing a film and wandering down to the local cinema to see the poster, of that movie, with my name on it - a film by Lucas Wittingslow.
Alas, this is a while away, I am not a dreamer, I am a believer. And I am making this happen. At present I have one film that I am cinematographer 'Mack - The Knife'. This short action piece is being directed by my good friend Robert Taylor, a fantastic writer and ideas man. And in this short film there is effects, make-up, blood, and all this is made by my lovely lady Lauren Higgs, whom I share a romantic relationship with. But there is another, for as this short film is an action piece, we need stunt work, and the best stunt man we know is Joss Gower, a qualified stunt man that fortunately for us, sees the benefit of helping up out.
So here I am, and as you have read this, you are probably a little confused about the heading. Well as a modern film maker, I want to make my films through an entirely digital process. I love the digital age and the age of High Definition and I truly believe that we will one day be making completely digital films. My quest is to make digital films, edit them, author them and watch them.
Before I go now, I will leave you with my goal for this blog.
To keep the documentation of my film making, my life and my thoughts.
